At Franklyn K Photography, your privacy matters to me. This policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit my website, inquire about my services, or work with me as a client.

Who I am

Franklyn K Photography is a luxury destination wedding photography business operated by Franklyn Kwakye, based in the Paris region, France. My website address is https://franklyn-k.com.

For any questions regarding this privacy policy or your personal data, you can reach me at contact@franklyn-k.com.

What personal data I collect and why

Contact form inquiries. When you submit an inquiry through my contact form (powered by Pixieset), I collect your name, email address, wedding date, venue, and any additional information you choose to share. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to plan and deliver your photography experience.

Email communications. If you contact me via email, I retain our correspondence to provide you with ongoing service and support.

Website analytics. I may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use my website. This may include anonymized data such as pages visited, time on site, and referring source. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Cookies. My website uses minimal essential cookies required for the site to function. Third-party services embedded on the site (such as the Pixieset contact form) may set their own cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

How I use your information

I use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiry within 24 hours
  • Prepare a personalized proposal for your celebration
  • Plan and deliver your photography experience
  • Deliver your photographs through a private, password-protected gallery
  • Send occasional communications related to your booking (timelines, planning details, delivery updates)

I will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Wedding photographs and your image

As a wedding photographer, I capture photographs of you and your guests during your celebration. The use of these photographs is governed by your photography contract, which typically includes:

  • Private gallery delivery — Your photographs are delivered through a password-protected Pixieset gallery accessible only to you and the people you choose to share it with
  • Portfolio and marketing use — With your consent as outlined in the contract, select photographs may be used in my portfolio, website, blog, and social media. If you prefer your wedding to remain fully private, this can be discussed and accommodated
  • Publication — If your wedding is featured in a publication (Vogue, Brides, Wedding Sparrow, etc.), this is always done with your knowledge and agreement

Third-party services

My website and business use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Pixieset — Contact form management, client galleries, and delivery. Pixieset Privacy Policy
  • Google Fonts — Typography delivery. No personal data is collected
  • Hostinger — Website hosting. Hostinger Privacy Policy

Data retention

Inquiries. If you inquire but do not become a client, your contact information is retained for up to 12 months, after which it is deleted.

Client data. If you become a client, your contact information and photographs are retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward (typically 2 years) to fulfill any outstanding requests such as album orders or additional prints.

Photographs. Your full wedding gallery is hosted on Pixieset for a minimum of 12 months after delivery. After this period, the gallery may be archived. I recommend downloading your images during the active hosting period.
