The Light Inside the Crillon

Every room at the Hôtel de Crillon teaches you something about light if you pay attention long enough. The Salon des Aigles catches late afternoon sun through its west-facing windows, and for about forty minutes the crystal chandeliers throw fractured amber across the gilded walls. I have learned to plan couple portraits around that specific window, because the warmth it creates on skin is something no artificial light can replicate.
